Piano tuning

Whether you have a piano at home or at your place of work, there are many benefits to arranging tuning by a qualified piano tuner. The age of your piano, where your instrument is kept, and the frequency with which it is used all affect the tuning. How often your piano needs to be tuned depends upon a number of factors. Whilst most of my clients have their piano tuned yearly or twice yearly, I'll always offer advice according to your practical needs and budget.

Piano repairs

It's inevitable that over time your piano will sustain some level of damage, be it through wear and tear or a simple knock. As with all intricate mechanical devices, the type of damage will affect how the piano plays and sounds. I can repair and replace any part of a piano, and would be delighted to offer my expert advice on any work that your piano may need.

In some cases, the cost of repair will be greater than the cost of an entire replacement. If this is the case, I'll be happy to offer advice on a suitable replacement, and can carry out pre-purchase inspections too. Smaller repairs are often undertaken as part of my tuning service, whereas larger repairs will need to be booked in, and in some cases, completed off-site.

Whilst I have 30 years of experience in repairs and tuning, I also have 25 years of experience accompanying students taking their practical exams. Through my expert concert piano tuning, theory lessons and general piano knowledge, I've helped many students pass their tests.
